Northrop Grumman Showcases Public-Safety Application Suite at APCO International Conference

DENVER, Aug. 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will highlight its public-safety solutions for first responders this week at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials -- International 71st Annual Conference and Exposition.

The exposition will be held Aug. 21-25 at the Colorado Convention Center.

Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector will highlight its CommandPoint(tm) application suite that combines the latest technological standards with the company's five decades of experience and resources for dependable, integrated communications systems for first responders.

Northrop Grumman, in conjunction with the Environmental Systems Research Institute, will introduce a new mapping functionality to the CommandPoint(tm) Computer-Aided Dispatch system for public safety. This command-and-control system enables communications-center personnel to manage calls for service and resources. The CommandPoint Mobile application exchanges data between the communications center and field units. The CommandPoint Automated Field Reporting package enables law-enforcement units to complete reports quickly and accurately from their mobile devices.

For law enforcement agencies, Northrop Grumman's CommandPoint Records Management System provides the ability to customize and pre-define records- management data-entry screens. The E*Justice(tm) solution provides a comprehensive suite of integrated systems that enable data sharing, integration and collaboration across law-enforcement, homeland-security and justice agencies, as well as federal, state and local jurisdictions.

Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector will demonstrate its new TouchTable(tm), a 45-inch model of the seven-foot diagonal table. The system has a touch-sensitive screen that allows users to view and manipulate complex data and high-resolution digital imagery, such as geographic information, that cannot readily be represented on a standard computer display. The TouchTable product line is developed and provided by Applied Minds Inc.
