Care Choices Introduces New PPO Product

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Aug. 25, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Care Choices has launched a new PPO product designed to meet the needs of self-insured employers who are looking for a cost-effective, one-stop solution with access to a national network of providers. Care Choices PPO provides administrative services including enrollment, claims payment, customer service and reporting. It also includes comprehensive medical management. The new product offers total flexibility in benefit design, a comprehensive Michigan provider network, and low-cost access to an estimated 95 percent of national providers who participate in any PPO plan. Options include managed pharmacy programs and Care Choices highly rated disease management and wellness programs.

Care Choices PPO can be paired with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) or Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) for those employers who are looking to incorporate consumer-directed features into their benefit design. A suite of Web-based financial and benefit management support tools have been integrated into the product.

"Our new Care Choices PPO product leverages the strength of Care Choices HMO as a leader in integrating care and delivering outstanding customer service," said Jelka Petrovic, chief marketing officer of Care Choices. Care Choices HMO has received the highest rating of "Excellent" from the National Committee for Quality Assurance, and for the past two years has been recognized as first in Michigan for clinical excellence(1). For three years running, Care Choices HMO has also been rated the number-one health plan in Southeast Michigan(1)(2) for member satisfaction, according to the national Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey.

"Care Choices self-insured PPO complements our fully insured HMO product, making Care Choices an attractive option for employers who are looking for a total replacement carrier," said Petrovic. "The product provides access to an extensive network across the country and is ideal for employers who have employees living in multiple regions."
