STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 7, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- SAS Group Traffic:
Continued improved load factors in August
- SAS Group load factor for August was 71.8% up 5.0 p.u. vs 2004.
- Total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 6.4% in August 2005 vs 2004.
- The SAS Group transported 3.1 million passengers in August 2005, an increase of 6.8%.
- Scandinavian Airlines Businesses' load factor in August was 73.4% up 6.4 p.u. vs last year.
Group market trends and yield development Group total traffic volumes (RPK) developed well in August with an increase of 6.4%. Capacity (ASK) decreased by 1.1% resulting in improved load factor of 5.0 p.u. to 71.8%.
Yield for Scandinavian Airlines in July 2005 was up by 1.1% vs. 2004. Yields for August will be reported next month, but early indications show yields at approximately the same level as last year.
