British Airways Launches Biggest and Best Frequent Flyer Bonus

Free Flights After Just One Transatlantic Round-Trip -- With No Limit

NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- British Airways' acclaimed Executive Club free bonus flight promotion is back, bigger and better than ever, giving frequent flyers the opportunity to earn free flights after just one transatlantic round-trip. It doesn't get better than that!

From Sept. 27 through Dec. 31, 2005, Executive Club members in the U.S., Canada and, for the first time, the Caribbean can earn enough miles from making a transatlantic round-trip in First or Club World for two free economy round-trips within North America on partners American Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

After each transatlantic round-trip (or two transatlantic one-way trips), Executive Club members will be credited with a minimum of 50,000 miles -- a special bonus of 40,250 miles plus the miles they would normally earn.

For example: a Blue card member traveling in Club World from Boston to London and back would earn 50,006 miles. A Gold card member traveling in First from Los Angeles to London and back would be credited with 64,195 miles.

There is, however, one important pre-requisite: to participate in the promotion, Executive Club members first must register online at www.ba.com/freeflights2005 and then book their transatlantic flights in a qualifying First or Club World fare class.

New members can book online, enroll in the Executive Club and register for the promotion at the same time. Membership is free.

The potential mileage rewards are great. British Airways and its oneworld partner airlines fly to more than 650 destinations throughout North America and the world.

50,000 Executive Club miles is enough to earn two free domestic tickets between any two points within the continental U.S. and Canada on American Airlines or Alaska Airlines, or one free economy ticket to the U.K. or select European destinations on British Airways.

Two transatlantic round trips in Club World will earn miles for two free economy round-trips to Hawaii. Three roundtrips in Club World will earn enough miles for a pair of roundtrips to select points in Europe, including Italy and Spain.

Travel from all 22 British Airways gateways in North America and nine in the Caribbean is eligible.

And there is no limit on how many times members can earn the special bonus miles.

All qualifying travel must be completed no later than Dec. 31, 2005 to earn the 40,250 mileage bonus. Government fees and taxes are extra and other conditions apply.
