Ingram Micro to Distribute Vodafone Sweden's Datacoms Products

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 30, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vodafone Sweden and Ingram Micro in Sweden have entered a collaboration which makes Ingram Micro distributor of Vodafone Sweden's mobile products for businesses (including Vodafone Swedens's 3G data card and Blackberry(R) products) to their IT retailers. For the end-customer this means that IT-products and mobile solutions will all be available in one place.

"A growing number of Swedish companies want their IT solutions more mobile. Together with Ingram Micro and its retailers we reach decisions makers within the IT sector via their ordinary purchasing channel. We are therefore delighted about working with Ingram Micro," says Klas Wallstrom, Head of Business Segment at Vodafone Sweden. For IT retailers, this partnership affords greater possibilities for taking advantage of the considerable growth opportunities that exist in mobile solutions for businesses.

"There is no doubt that the telecoms and IT sectors are merging together and that the end-customers are increasingly on the lookout for complete solutions. Our partnership with Vodafone Sweden is thus very important for us; it means we can offer our retailers a wide range of the latest mobile products and services in the market to meet their customers' requirements and needs," says Magnus Hultquist, Product Manager Mobile, at Ingram Micro in Sweden Ingram Micro will be the distributor of Vodafone Sweden's PC card Mobile Connect Card 3G, which gives users a fast Internet connection (up to 384 kb/s) and therefore permanent access to the Internet, e-mail and internal systems -- anywhere, anytime. Vodafone Sweden's upcoming 3G router, which has been designed jointly with Cisco and Linksy, will also be available. With a 3G router, more people (such as consultants working on-site, for instance) can connect up to Vodafone Sweden's 3G network via a Mobile Connect Card 3G.

Ingram Micro will also be distributing Vodafone Sweden's Blackberry
products, which function as regular mobile phones but also offer access
to e-mail -- anywhere -- without delays or manual synchronisation.

Ingram Micro will begin distributing Vodafone Sweden's services and
 products right away.
