The Davis Center to Introduce 'The Gift of Sound Fund' at Grand Opening

ROCKAWAY, N.J., Oct. 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Davis Center, the world's most comprehensive sound therapy center, is pleased to announce the introduction of The Gift of Sound Fund, a scholarship fund created for economically disadvantaged families and individuals in need of sound therapy. The introduction will occur at The Davis Center's Grand Opening Celebration on October 16, 2005 at their new facility, located at One Mannino Drive in Rockaway, NJ.

"By using the power of sound, positive changes are seen with learning, development, and wellness for children and adults," commented Dorinne Davis, founder of the Davis Center. The sound-based therapies that will be available for scholarship recipients include: Berard Auditory Integration Training (AIT), The Tomatis(r) Method, BioAcoustics(tm), Fast ForWord(tm) Series, and Interactive Metronome(r). The initial Davis Center proprietary Diagnostic Evaluation for Therapy Protocol (DETP(r)) will also be included as part of the scholarship.

The Gift of Sound Fund is an endowment funded by donations from individuals, corporations, and families. Individuals may also donate using a Gift Certificate for a specific individual. Scholarships are awarded after a review process by its Board of Directors.
