'Sound Is The Source' to Be Introduced at The Davis Center's Grand Opening

ROCKAWAY, N.J., Oct. 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sound Is The Source, a not for profit corporation supporting research projects related to the impact of sound on the body, will be introduced at the Grand Opening Celebration of The Davis Center on October 16, 2005 at One Mannino Drive, Rockaway, NJ. The Davis Center, the world's most comprehensive sound therapy center, has donated office space for the operation of Sound Is The Source.

Sound Is The Source will be funded by individual donations and applied for grants. Projects may include documenting the impact of sound-based therapies and general sound interventions as well as the changes that occur from specific frequencies, auditory and neurological processing, brain stimulation, tonal patterns, the voice-ear-brain connection and more. Project outcomes will be published in professional journals.

Joshua Leeds, in his book, The Power of Sound, says, "Sound and music are nutrients for the nervous system ... The ability to perceive a full sound spectrum is a prime necessity for integrated living." Sound Is The Source will support the evidence-based research for determining the efficacy of sound therapies and sound's overall impact on the body.
