Golden Patriot, Corp. Announces Drilling Now Underway at Gold View Property in World-Class Gold Region

NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Golden Patriot, Corp. ("GPTC") (OTCBB:GPTC) is extremely pleased to announce that it has been informed by its joint venture partner that drilling on Gold View Property is now underway. According to GPTC's joint venture partner, the geochemical survey has identified gold anomalies in association with major structural intersections identified in the geophysical survey. A ten-hole drill program is planned consisting of ten reverse circulation drill holes (of which an initial four holes will be drilled), averaging 800 feet deep to test the most significant anomalies.

The Gold View Property is located in the Cortez Trend of Nevada, approximately 3 miles east of the Tonkin Springs deposits (650,000 ounces of gold), and consists of approximately 1,450 acres (587 hectares) containing 76 unpatented lode claims.

Bradley Rudman, president of GPTC stated, "That we are now drilling on this highly prospective gold project, in a proven world class gold region, is fabulous news. Gold was trading at 18-year highs this week, coupling this with our planned drill program on the Lucky Boy Uranium Project, this is one of the most exciting drilling times in the company's history. This quarter could be a watershed period in Golden Patriot's growth."

GPTC has been informed by the exploration contractor of the Lucky Boy Uranium Prospect that the initial samples have returned very encouraging uranium grades. These initial samples were designed to test for the viability of continuing on this prospect. These samples are currently en-route to the assay lab. Upon receipt of the assays from the lab, a multi-hole drill program to test the extent of the ore will be implemented. This drilling will hopefully commence in the fourth quarter of 2005.
