BlueLinx Names Jim Storey To Lead Investor Relations


ATLANTA, Nov. 21, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- BlueLinx Holdings Inc. (NYSE:BXC), a leading distributor of building products in North America, announced that James R. Storey has joined the company as vice president of investor relations.

Mr. Storey brings extensive investor relations experience to this new position, where he will have the primary responsibility for directing the company's communications with the investment community and other key constituents who influence investment decisions. For the past 13 years, Mr. Storey has provided investor relations and strategic communications counsel, planning and execution for public company clients in the Southeast, most recently as head of the investor relations and financial communications practice for the Atlanta office of Manning, Selvage & Lee, an international public relations firm.

Prior to that, he spent 15 years as a financial journalist, the most recent 10 with Dow Jones & Co. in New York. His experience there included reporting on the stock market for Dow Jones News Service, serving as the news editor for Dow Jones Professional Investor Report, which tracked unusual trading activity in individual stocks, and writing the Abreast of the Market column for The Wall Street Journal Europe.

Mr. Storey holds a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University and is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College. He is an active member in the National Investor Relations Institute, where he serves on NIRI's Senior Roundtable and is a past president of NIRI's Atlanta chapter.
