Captain D's Seafood, First in New Multi-Brand Food Court Now Open in Stilwell, Oklahoma


STILWELL, Okla., Dec. 6, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Helm Family, a long-time entrepreneurial family in Stilwell, have opened a Captain D's, the nation's leading fast-casual seafood dining restaurant, in their new freestanding Stilwell Food Court located in town on North Highway 59, here in Northeast Oklahoma. The restaurant is open seven days a week, from 10:30 am to 9:00 pm daily. The food court building has a Drive-Thru and features an indoor playground for kids and a party room for special occasions.

Franchisees of the new operation are Jason and Amy Helm. The Helm family also operates an auto parts business and used car dealerships in the area.

The new 160-seat Captain D's is the first four brand name restaurants that the Helm family will open in the 7,000 square-feet food court. Captain D's offers customers a menu of seafood featuring its signature dish of hand cut and hand battered fish along with baked or broiled fish, shrimp, chicken and home style dishes such as okra, much of which is produced by Stilwell Foods also located here.

Managers of the new Captain D's are Jeff and Sara O'Brien.

Headquartered in Nashville, TN, Captain D's was founded in 1969. There are some 600 restaurants in 23 United States. Captain D's opened 20 units during the current fiscal year and plans to open another 40 in 2006. Additional information is available at www.captainds.com.
