The Frustrating Social Gap Between Men and Women -- New Book Sheds Light on the Dark Side of Society and Genders

OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 7, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- For centuries, men have ruled the world and civilization while women played smaller roles. As history dictates, bridging the gap between the two genders is never easy to do and to this day it remains an uphill struggle, and equality is still very far away. But history also shows that sharing power is never a true intention of man and time will come when women will decide to strike back and rule. These are the themes that readers will find out in Tyrone Harper's street smart novel Suffer The Opposition.

Set in the modern world, Suffer The Opposition tells the story of two brothers, $Cash and Change, who live by the streets and work in the underworld. Together they set the rules on the street and use sheer force against troublemakers. In an effort to bolster their street operations, $Cash and Change align themselves with a secret society of women led by a captivating woman called Queen Lavetra. These women are driven by hatred and vengeance against men. This is a very precarious alliance as the two brothers begin to realize that they may be the society's next victims. As the clock ticks, tensions rise and an all-out war on the streets seems inevitable.

Uniquely-written, Suffer The Opposition depicts the dark side of society and its people with sheer precision, daring dialogue and detailed characters. The book is geared towards mature readers and its content will definitely give them a lively tour of the underworld as well as a close look at the discriminating social gap between men and women. In essence, Suffer The Opposition reflects Tyrone Harper's two-fold personal frustration at: (1) the continued victimization of women by predatory men and (2) the indiscriminant promotion of anti-male propaganda. This is one smashing book to get today!
