The LightSmart Control System is a software-based platform that is built on CEYX's innovative micro-detector technology. It provides the first proven method for managing extinction ratio (ER) and average optical power (AOP) while delivering accurate real-time performance feedback for Directly Modulated Lasers (DML). By eliminating the need for constant testing to produce lookup tables and other approximations, which is the current method for maintaining laser operation, the LightSmart Control System helps transceiver manufacturers lower production costs and increase yields while offering products that maintain accurate performance levels over the entire life of the laser.
