EWAN Global IPTV Subscribers Soon to be Able to Buy Digital Media Center Set-Top Box Direct From Company and Install on New Website

SANTA ANA, Calif., April 5, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- EWAN 1, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EWAN) announces publication of its new website, www.eWAN1.com, confirming the launch of their Global Internet television service at the IPTV show, "IPTV & Beyond," April 19, 2006, at the Marriott Del Mar, San Diego, CA, and detailing the advantages of its proprietary and exclusive DMC (Digital Media Center) Triple Play set-top box, which offers high definition quality TV reception on an ordinary TV set. The DMC combines a personal computer, home audio player, media storage device, residential Internet gateway, and telephone, Video, Voice, and Data, all in one unit. Leading cable companies, as well as phone companies from around the world, have shown interest in offering their clientele EWAN's futuristic technology.

Scott Kettle, EWAN's President, said "Triple play means that EWAN can provide video (TV over the Internet or IPTV), voice (i.e. telephony over the Internet or VOIP), and data (high speed-broadband, data access to the Internet in a single box) via our proprietary set-top box. Shortly after our launch, April 19th, offering an initial 75 channels of entertainment, news, sports, and other programming, we will offer our global subscribers the opportunity to purchase and to easily install our Triple Play set-top box directly from our website. From that moment, our global consumers will be able to view our TV network programming from wherever in the world they may be."

Leading telecommunications companies, including Motorola, Alcatel, Bell Canada, Siemens, and others, will be exhibiting and attending the IPTV & Beyond exposition, at which EWAN will debut its first-to-market IPTV network by demonstrating and deploying, via the Internet, its multiple channels of "On Demand" content delivered to their subscriber's television screens via any DSL or broadband connection.

EWAN's cable broadcaster subsidiary, Clearview Communications, will supply an eventual 175 channels of entertainment, news, sports, and every other category of content now being telecast by Direct TV, Dish Network, Comcast, Warner, and all other competitors. EWAN also believes that, through its proprietary DMC set-top box, it is the first company with the ability to deliver Internet TV with the clarity of high definition to its subscriber's TV sets, negating the need to purchase an actual High Definition TV set and screen.

EWAN's DMC set-top box connects directly to the television screen to view television, videos on-demand, video conferencing, and other time shifted based services such as the recording of one program while watching another program.

Direct Connect, a wholly owned EWAN subsidiary, will provide traditional broadcast television, including such popular programming as HBO, CNN (subsidiaries of Time Warner), Showtime, (a subsidiary of Viacom International), ABC and ESPN (Walt Disney subsidiaries), as well as local stations on an a la carte basis, allowing subscribers to pick and choose only those channels they are willing to pay for. EWAN's set-top box includes Internet, telephone service (VOIP), data and video capability, and subscribers will be joining a new, private, exclusive TV network at a cost of approximately one-third of that now charged by existing cable or satellite companies.

Infonetics magazine reports that IPTV is set to skyrocket to 53.7 million subscribers and $44 billion in service revenue by 2009, and that the number of IPTV subscribers in North America will increase 12,985% between 2004 and 2009. According to IP Television Magazine -- In the 1st quarter 2005, there were: 2.1 million IPTV users worldwide. For demonstration, email CEO@eWAN1.com.
