TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., June 22, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Aurora Oil & Gas Corporation (AMEX:AOG) today announced that Mr. Ronald E. Huff will take over the duties of Chief Financial Officer. From October 2005 to present, Mr. Huff has served on the Aurora Oil & Gas Corporation Board of Directors and, until recently, as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Mr. Huff has served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance for Visual Edge Technology, Inc., a consolidator of imaging solution companies in the United States; the Managing Director of a small private equity firm advising early stage companies in the Midwest; Chief Financial Officer of North Coast Energy Company; and, President and CFO of Belden & Blake Corporation, a large Appalachian and Michigan exploration and production (E&P) company. Mr. Huff spent his early career in Houston working in various energy finance and accounting positions with Transco, Inc., Sonat, Inc., and Zilkha Petroleum.
While serving 14 years at Belden & Blake Corporation, Mr. Huff managed a dozen E&P acquisitions involving several public and private financings including an IPO and the subsequent sale of the company to the Texas Pacific Group resulting in an annual compound return to shareholders of 40%.
