COSTA MESA, Calif., July 3, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced general availability of its Emulex LightPulse LP1105-BC dual-channel HBA for use in the IBM BladeCenter. The Emulex LP1105-BC (IBM part no. 39Y9186) is designed to work in Windows, Linux and AIX operating systems.

The Emulex 4Gb/s SFF Fibre Channel expansion card is the only single-chip FC solution for BladeCenter and delivers a high level of reliability and performance in the most demanding enterprise environments. Emulex's driver support enables the LP1105-BC to be effectively applied across the maximum range of storage networking solutions. Integrated with IBM Director, the Emulex management software called HBAnyware, provides a seamless and efficient HBA installation and management suite for its family of LightPulse Fibre Channel host bus adapters. The unique firmware upgradeable architecture provides investment protection, and Emulex's single HBA driver solution helps to dramatically simplify SAN management.
