RBID.com Appoints New CTO and Treasurer


NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., July 12, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- RBID.com (Pink Sheets:RBID) president, Alan Rothman today announced the appointment of Mr. David Howe as Treasurer and Chief Technical Officer of the company. Mr. Howe who has a long and successful background in Technology and Project Management was responsible for introducing Lucent Technologies fixed wireless broadband portfolio throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia where revenues grew from $5 million in 1999 to over $133 million in 2001. Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Rothman, who hosts the nationally acclaimed radio show Business of Success, stated, "We are delighted to welcome David on board. His expertise in implementing and managing new technology rollouts on a global basis is well recognized and his knowledge and experience in leading such projects is a major asset for RBID.com."

Mr. Howe, who is a Chartered Engineer and has an MBA from the Open University in the UK, where he specialized in Technology Management and Corporate Financial Strategy added, "I'm delighted to be working with the team at RBID.com, as we move forward and begin assessing the viability of a number of projects that have come our way. What we will be looking to achieve are scalable and profitable business models that fit with the ethos of RBID.com." It is expected that Mr. Howe who is based in Europe will oversee all technical architecture and product oversight responsibilities, to ensure a smooth transition with the new management team. He will work closely with the RBID.com president, Mr. Rothman to assume his responsibility for the company's research and incubation efforts.

Biography -- David Howe

David is a Chartered Electrical Engineer by profession and has had a long and varied career in the telecoms and multimedia industry. David has an MBA from the Open University in the UK. David also holds advanced certification (level 2) in Linux from the LPI.

 -- Cable & Wireless where he was a Senior Network Engineer,
 -- AT&T where he managed the International Satellite Systems
    Engineering department in Ireland
 -- Lucent Technologies where he was the New Product Introduction
    Manager for their fixed wireless broadband portfolio where revenues
    grew from $5m in 1999 to $133m in 2001.
 -- Digicel in the Caribbean where he was the Technical Product
    Development Manager where he had a special interest in m-commerce.
    In addition David also project managed the implementation of
    Digicel's pre-paid platform.
