SAN DIEGO, Aug. 1, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- CEYX(r) Technologies, Inc. today announced the additions of Salvatore (Sal) Benti and Peter Ma to its executive team as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Engineering, respectively.
CEYX Technologies is nearing commercialization of its revolutionary light-emitting technology for the datacom and display markets. Sal Benti joins CEYX Technologies as EVP and COO. With over 30 years of industry experience, Mr. Benti will be responsible for building, managing and integrating all aspects of CEYX' operations and for ensuring excellence in all customer-facing activities. Prior to joining CEYX Technologies, Mr. Benti served as CEO of Malibu Networks, a 3G wireless broadband innovator of high quality voice, video and data based on proprietary QoS techniques. Prior to Malibu Networks, Mr. Benti served in senior executive management positions with responsibilities for strategic planning, global sales, marketing and business development at Adaptive Broadband, ComStream, GE Spacenet (formerly RCA American Communications), CONTEL and ITT Business Systems.
Peter Ma joins CEYX Technologies in the role of Vice President of Engineering. Fresh from serving in a number of director-level functions for Hewlett Packard, Mr. Ma will be responsible for building and managing CEYX' engineering team and for delivering revolutionary, world-class customer solutions to the display and datacom markets. At Hewlett Packard, Mr. Ma was Director of New Business Development, Product Marketing and Research and Development for the OEM Industrial Printing Division. Mr. Ma has also served as Hewlett Packard Program Manager for a variety of product development projects, in addition to leading numerous engineering projects. For several years, Mr. Ma managed the manufacturing operation and production of graphics products at Hewlett Packard's San Diego Division. Mr. Ma holds a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
