Emerge PR Marks One-Year Anniversary With Strong Momentum, 63% Increase in Monthly Revenue

Fifteen New Clients in First Year

BOSTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 1, 2006 -- Emerge Public Relations, a growing firm serving high-technology, financial, consumer and business services firms, today announced it has exceeded its growth projections in its first full year of business. Launched on November 1, 2005, Emerge PR has increased its monthly run rate by 63 percent since its inception, securing 15 new clients while adding strategic senior staff.

"The progress we have made as we mark our first anniversary has surpassed all of our expectations. A year ago, we were hopeful we would hit the $1 million mark in our first full year of business, and we have already exceeded that. We have built our business on relationships, and we are grateful to our clients for placing their confidence in us," said Mara Bartucca, principal, Emerge PR.

"As the holiday season approaches, we have much to be thankful for. We have been fortunate to attract a stellar professional team, enabling us to guarantee senior-level attention for all our clients. We thank our whole team for sharing our vision and helping us build an exciting new agency," said Catherine Marenghi, principal, Emerge PR.

On its first day of business a year ago, Emerge PR was already an established PR firm. By bringing together the staff and clients of Marenghi PR, an award-winning firm founded by Catherine Marenghi in 1992, and Dark Horse Consulting, a communications consultancy formed by Mara Bartucca after leading the Horn Group's Boston office for nine years, Emerge PR launched with a strong team and an impressive client portfolio, with 10 charter clients.

Since then, Emerge PR has added eight retainer clients including Cartesis, DestinationWeddings.com, Harte-Hanks (including its Trillium Software division), Harvard Business School Publishing, Information Builders, The Otto Club, Webgen, and Whitebirch Software, along with a variety of projects including AccountAbility Outsourcing, MEMS Industry Group, Optasite, and Syrinx Consulting. In addition, the agency is serving the Wellness Community of Greater Boston on a pro bono basis.

In addition, Emerge PR has built its professional team to a total of 13 staff, including several strategic team leaders with an average of 10 years of PR experience. New additions since the firm's founding include Stephanie Fallon, account director; Samantha Smith, account director; Liza Colburn, senior account manager; Matthew McCarthy, account executive; and Sheila Bohan, account coordinator.
