CAMBRIDGE, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 1, 2006 -- "The Challenge of Leading Change in our
Schools," a program for school superintendents who grapple with the
challenges of leading significant change in their districts, will be held
by Cambridge Leadership Associates on February 1-2, 2007 in New Orleans.
Based on CLA's leadership-development work with school superintendents
across the country, the program will give participants the opportunity
learn about and practice the skills of Adaptive Leadership™.
Participants will have a hands-on opportunity to learn, practice and apply
the tools and skills of Adaptive Leadership. The program will provide the
knowledge, strategies and skills school superintendents need to lead their
districts through the difficult process of change.
Through presentations, exercises and small-group work, attendees will
develop the skills that will enable them to strengthen their ability to
face internal resistance while implementing major changes, identify and
address the deep adaptive challenges that keep their district from moving
forward, exert bold and effective leadership to bring disparate
stakeholders together to shape lasting solutions, and manage personal
vulnerabilities.
"If you're being asked to do more with fewer resources, to solve problems
that have no known solutions or find it difficult to lead on behalf of the
things you care about most, this program is for you," said Dr. Lee Teitel
of Cambridge Leadership Associates and Harvard University.
The program is open to all school superintendents. Enrollment is limited
to 50 participants.
The cost of the program is $1500, including all meals.
