ATLANTA, Nov. 30, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Merging heritage and innovation, the team of Priya and Chintan from Mumbai, India, are about to take over the Atlanta fashion scene with the opening of a boutique in Buckhead. After launching as a design team in 2003 and having a strong following with stores in London, Dubai, and New York, the duo made the strategic decision to come to Atlanta for their flagship U.S. boutique. In addition to couture designs that can be hand styled and sized for the individual, the boutique will also carry a substantial ready-to-wear line and diamond and precious stone jewelry. Home accessories will follow shortly in the first quarter of 2007.
Priya's knowledge and experience in embroideries and Chintan's knowledge of cuts, silhouettes and styling helps them create garments that are contemporary in style and unique in their embellishments. We are creating designs never seen before in Atlanta - combining crafts, fabrics and raw materials from different parts of the world," said Chintan, namesake, co-founder and designer of Prriya & Chintans.
Prriya & Chintans will host a Grand Opening Celebration with promotions running through the month of December to celebrate. In addition, co-founder and designer Chintan will be in town from December 4th - 15th to showcase a variety of their couture pieces and hand-designed jewelry. As a special gift to all customers, the store will offer a 30% discount off one ready-to-wear item during the week of December 4th, a 20% discount off one ready-to-wear item during the week of December 11th and a 10% discount off one ready-to-wear item during the week of December 18th.
Before launching their label in 2003, Priya went to P.V. Polytechnic (SNDT) and worked with Sheetal Design Studio. Excelling in her school, she was awarded student of the year, and a special award for her graduating collection. Chintan studied at Parsons School of Design in New York and worked for Calvin Klein to get a feel for the ready-to-wear market. To do the same for the couture, he partnered with Randy Rahm.
