SUNNYVALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 1, 2006 -- Meru Networks, the global innovation leader
in wireless infrastructure for the All-Wireless Enterprise, and iNOC, a
global provider of Network Operations Center (NOC) services, today
announced they will team to deliver wireless LAN (WLAN) services for the
92nd annual Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological
Society of North America (RSNA). Scheduled for November 26-December 1 at
the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, IL, RSNA's annual
gathering is the world's largest international medical meeting with
attendees including radiologists, allied health scientists, hospital
executives and healthcare consultants, from around the world.
iNOC is responsible for designing, building and managing RSNA network
(RSNAnet), the high-speed communications network that supports the
conference. Meru Networks' WLAN System enables wireless hot spots across
the show floor allowing conference attendees and exhibitors to easily
exchange research and medical images, access the Internet, send and receive
e-mail, and perform other tasks while on the show floor. Meru's WLAN
controller and dual-mode access points will be deployed throughout the
McCormick Place Convention Center, spanning multiple exhibit halls, across
two million square feet.
"The 2005 RSNAnet using Meru Networks' Wireless LAN System was very
successful in this challenging, conference environment," said Dave Pede,
director of IT at RSNA. "We were pleased with the excellent Quality of
Service, scalability and predictable performance Meru's WLAN System
demonstrated and are expecting this year's exhibitors and attendees to have
an equally positive experience."
"Meru's WLAN System is a great choice for supporting the challenging high
user-density networking requirements of the RSNA Conference," said Rick
Smith, vice president of engineering, iNOC. "Meru's Air Traffic Control
technology manages RF contention with sophisticated traffic controls to
deliver predictable and fair performance to a large number of users."
"Our WLAN System delivers reliable, wired-quality voice and high
performance data in challenging, high density environments," said Lisa
Schiltz, senior director of corporate marketing, Meru Networks. "We're
pleased to once again be part of this prominent industry event and to have
the opportunity to showcase our WLAN System."
