Nobel Biocare Welcomes the Decision of the Swedish Medical Product Agency On NobelDirect and NobelPerfect One-Piece Implants


ZURICH, Switzerland, Dec. 6, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Nobel Biocare welcomes today's decision of the MPA to continue the sales of NobelDirect and NobelPerfect one-piece implants.

The Company is satisfied that the Agency did not find a reason to prohibit the continued release of those actual implants to the market.

The Company is also gratified that several of the actions required by the MPA in order to further minimize risk were proposed by Nobel Biocare in its letter dated October 13, 2006.

Nobel Biocare will fully cooperate with the MPA and report to the Agency as requested.

Nobel Biocare will not make any further comments on the decision of the MPA.
