DALLAS, Dec. 7, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- IElement Corporation (OTCBB:IELM), (Frankfurt:SZQ1), (Frankfurt:IELM), a nationwide provider of advanced communications services and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solutions, announced today that it has appointed Charles Carlson to its board of directors. Mr. Carlson joins the board as its second outside director and is expected to provide valuable direction and leadership through IElement's recently announced acquisitions and new product implementations.

Mr. Carlson is the co-founder and CEO of Comware, an industry-leading provider of network solutions. At Comware, he has put together an elite team of experts that provide best of breed networking services and solutions to over 8,500 commercial customers.

Mr. Carlson earned a B.B.A. in 1992 and a J.D. in 1994, both from Baylor University. He has over 12 years experience as a lawyer, entrepreneur and CEO in the technology industry.

He has a keen understanding of the markets IElement targets and will be an excellent addition to the company's directorate.

The appointment of Mr. Carlson followed a board vote to increase from three to seven the number of seats available on IElement's board in order to further diversify and strengthen the company's leadership and guidance. With Mr. Carlson's appointment, IElement has filled four of those seven board positions. The other directors are Ivan Zweig, the company's founder and CEO, Lance Stovall, who is expected to become its COO, and Ken Willey, an outside director. The latter two were appointed to the board in March of this year. Mr. Zweig, Mr. Stovall and Mr. Willey are up for re-election at the company's 2006 annual meeting of stockholders next week and Mr. Carlson will serve until the company's 2007 annual meeting.

The company also maintains an advisory board.
