Homeland Safety International, Inc. Announces Find of Explosives Material in Scrap Metal in Beirut

IRVING, Texas, Dec. 15, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Homeland Safety International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HSFI) announced today the first successful use of Sniffex, the Company's explosives detection device, to detect explosive materials in scrap metal. The find was made at a Beirut, Lebanon seaport where Homeland Safety Representative AZARCO Trading was called to assist in checking scrap metal for Charmetal Trading Co.

Charmetal collects scrap metal from across Lebanon that is then brought to Beirut's seaport and loaded on ships headed to other countries for processing. The purchasing company was facing a problem when the scrap was heated in ovens. As the scrap metal was heated, the ovens were being damaged because of explosives that were present in the shipments. These were left over from the recent war with Israel. The end user refused to receive any further shipments until it was cleared of explosives. Charmetal contacted AZARCO to bring Sniffex to the site to help find explosives in the scrap metal before they were loaded on the ship for transport.

"Sniffex has proved to be the best. On our first day on the job, Sniffex was able to detect over 2 tons of explosives materials and exploded parts," stated Rima Zeidan, from AZARCO. "As a result, this company is using Sniffex and the management is totally satisfied with its performance."

"We are obviously pleased with this new application of Sniffex," stated Lee White, Vice President of Homeland Safety. "We expect to market this capability of the device and will relate further success stories such as this as part of a ongoing informational campaign to inform the world of the uses and benefits of Sniffex."
