Sempra Pipelines & Storage Announces Open Season At Liberty Gas Storage


SAN DIEGO, Feb. 12, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Sempra Pipelines & Storage, a unit of Sempra Energy (NYSE:SRE), and ProLiance Transportation and Storage, LLC, the asset development and ownership affiliate of ProLiance Energy, LLC, today launched an open season to solicit market interest in expansion capacity at their Liberty Gas Storage LLC natural gas storage facility in Calcasieu Parish, La.

Because of the growing need for storage service in the U.S. Gulf region and the strong market response to the existing 17 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of capacity, Liberty Gas Storage is offering an additional 5 Bcf at the salt-dome storage facility.

Liberty Gas Storage is seeking non-binding bid proposals from interested customers for contract terms three years and longer with service beginning in April 2009. Bids will be received until March 2, 2007.
