New Picture Frame Sizes At Frame Destination, Inc. Provide Showcase for Digital Photography

DALLAS, March 15, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- To meet the demands created by the changing world of digital photography, Frame Destination, Inc. (http://www.FrameDestination.com) has introduced a new line of picture frame sizes that accommodate the 4:3 aspect ratio. The new picture frame sizes have been added for 9x12, 10x13, 12x16 and 18x24 inch photo prints.

"Today, most of the popular compact cameras -- such as the Canon PowerShot and the Nikon Coolpix -- use the 4:3 aspect ratio," explains Mark Rogers, owner of Frame Destination, Inc. "Some SLRs, such as the Olympus E-400 and their SP-550, which is built much like an SLR, also use this aspect ratio. However, picture frame sizes haven't changed to accommodate this new image ratio."

Until now. As the first company to offer picture frames designed for the 3:2 aspect ratio, Frame Destination, Inc. is an innovator in creating non-standard picture frame sizes.

In addition to the new 4:3 picture frames, the company rolled out new sizes for panoramic picture frames that include a 1:2 aspect ratio (6x12, 8x16, 10x20, 12x24 and 16x32) and a 1:3 aspect ratio (4x12, 5x15, 6x18, 10x30 and 12x36). With its extensive offerings, Frame Destination, Inc. provides customers with more than 80 mat sizes and over 60 picture frame sizes.

"Based on the popularity of our 8x8 and 10x10 picture frames, we've also added new sizes for our rectangular picture frames," Rogers says. "Now, our customers can get rectangular frames in sizes that include 5x5, 16x16 and even 20x20."

In addition to those new picture frame sizes, Frame Destination, Inc. also has added picture frames to support prints from 17-inch printers -- including the Epson Stylus Pro 3800 and the Canon iPF5000.

"We have also added 17x22 as a standard picture frame size, as well as offering two sizes for matting 17x22 images," Rogers says. "Digital photography continues expanding, and we're continually expanding our offerings to keep pace with it."

Frame Destination, Inc., was created in 2004 after Rogers, an amateur digital photographer, was unable to find quality picture frames for the emerging digital market. Frame Destination, Inc. became the first picture frame company to focus on the unique needs of the digital photographer. Beginning as an online destination, Frame Destination, Inc. now includes a showroom in the Dallas area that recently doubled in size.
