LONDON, March 15, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- CO2 Tech (Pink Sheets:CTTD) President, Ms. Helga Schotten, today announced that CO2 Tech has begun development of cost-effective heavy-duty evaporator units which will be designed for wastewater treatment in utilities, chemical processes, pulp and paper and other industries with zero liquid discharge requirements.
In response to emerging demand, CO2 Tech has begun development on new cost-effective evaporator units that are specially designed to resolve wastewater problems, particularly in installations where zero discharge of liquids is required. Furthermore, in light of the irregular supply of electricity in sites where such solutions are required, these thermal vapor compression evaporators will be motivated by low-pressure steam.
Development is expected to be completed within 6-8 months and will take place entirely in the Company's own R&D and manufacturing facilities.

In the course of our financial feasibility analyses of several recent projects, we have identified a need for a more cost-effective evaporator especially to treat wastewater problems. We also decided to develop a thermal vapor compression type evaporator to ensure operation even in many areas of the world where electricity supply is irregular.
