23 03 2007, Vilnius. Apranga Group, the leader of retail apparel market in Lithuania and the Baltics opens one more shop in the shopping centre SPICE in Riga. It is the first Pull and Bear store in capital of Latvia. The area of the launched store is 360 sq.m. Three weeks ago another two stores were opened in the same shopping centre: Zara, total area 1300 sq.m., and young fashion store Bershka, total area 400 sq.m. Zara, Bershka and Pull and Bear belong to the leading retailer in the world market Inditex. Inditex Group‘s net sales increased 22% in comparison with 2005 totalling EUR 8,196 million. Company launched 439 new stores in 2006. Almost 65% of Inditex Group sales are generated from Zara chain. At the moment Zara is present in 63 countries with network of 1005 stores, Bershka has 437 stores in 25 countries, Pull and Bear has opened 435 shops in the main streets and shopping centres of 27 countries. Following the preliminary plans for 2007 Bershka and Pull and Bear are the fastest growing concepts of Inditex next to Zara. Apranga Group operates 69 stores chain in the Baltic's: 48 of them in Lithuania, 18 in Latvia, and 3 in Estonia. The retail turnover in Latvia in 2006 totalled LTL 70.7 million (EUR 20.5 million), or 46.4% more than in 2005 m. Apranga Group plans 8 new openings in Riga in 2007. This would increase the total area of the Apranga Group chain in Latvia up to 13.5 thousand sq.m. The plan for 2007 in Latvia is to increase the retail turnover up to LTL 105 million, or by 45% comparing to 2006. This year Apranga Group has already opened 5 new stores. In the beginning of April Apranga Group will open 9 new stores with total area of 5,7 sq.m. in Kaunas, shopping centre “Akropolis”. In relation to above mentioned openings, in the middle of April Apranga Group plans to close 2 and refurbish 2 shops in Kaunas centre, Laisves avenue. Apranga Group belongs to the concern MG Baltic
