Stratfor -- US Naval Institute Partnership Expands Offerings to Members

AUSTIN, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 22, 2007 -- Strategic Forecasting, Inc. (Stratfor) and the United States Naval Institute (USNI) today announced a mutual services agreement that will commence immediately. The partnership will provide publishing and marketing cooperation between Stratfor and USNI designed to expand and enrich the quality of published offerings to members of both organizations.

USNI has been contributing to creative thinking and planning in the area of national security and naval issues through its books and periodicals for more than 130 years. USNI publishes the distinguished hard copy Proceedings magazine among other publications.

Stratfor has a unique perspective as the world's leading private intelligence firm. It views geopolitics as the heart of understanding global security and defense and the struggle by nations for hegemony.

George Friedman, founder and CEO of Stratfor, said, "Stratfor's strategic view of the world and its professional, dispassionate analysis is a natural fit with USNI. Both see the importance of sea power in the struggle by nations for global security. I see this as an important and prestigious alliance for Stratfor."

Under the agreement, USNI current and future members will have discounted access to Stratfor's premium website and geopolitical analyses at www.stratfor.com and free access to Stratfor's weekly intelligence analyses. Stratfor subscribers will have discounted access to the Naval Institute's publications.

Major General Tom Wilkerson (USMC-Ret.), CEO of the US Naval Institute, praised the work of Stratfor and added, "This relationship will prove a greater benefit for members of each of our organizations providing them an even more comprehensive understanding of our complex times. I look forward to the partnership."
