Sports Pouch Beverage Company Signs Joint Venture Agreement With Perricone Juice Company

CORONA, Calif., June 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- J. Perricone, President of Perricone Juice Company, and Mr. Gilbert Arvizu, President of Sports Pouch Beverage Company (Pink Sheets:SPBV), have agreed to launch the Perricone Brand of Juices in Sports Pouch Beverage's patent pending pouch for the Natural and Organic Food Industry.

Perricone Juice Company supplies 100% juice products to popular restaurants, hotels, airlines and dairies throughout the country. The beverage pouch with its pull push easy to open and close Sports Cap provides convenience, portability and the all important appealing image in packaging for the burgeoning organic beverage industry.

Pouch demand is driven by aesthetic appeal, reclosability, freshness protection and ability to differentiate products on store shelves. Additionally, the novel position of stand-up pouches as a packaging format is expected to boost sales and consumer interest.

Demand for pouches in the U.S. is forecast to rise 6.3 percent annually through 2010 to $6.5 billion. Pouches with value-added features and properties reflect a strong trend in packaging stated a recent study from The Freedonia Group, Inc., a Cleveland-based industry research firm.

Perricone juices will now be available in the Produce Department of local Natural Food Stores this summer.
