Unique Pizza and Subs Opens in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

PITTSBURGH, June 21, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation (Pink Sheets:UPZS), a Delaware Corporation, is pleased to announce the opening of the first of many planned locations in the Wisconsin market. The store, located at 1016 East Brady Street is situated in a high traffic, historic district. The franchisee, John Budzinski, has already begun the process of opening additional locations. Mr. Budzinski has been working with a commercial real estate agent to develop a list and visit potential locations for new stores. With the help of UPZS' senior management, the entire Wisconsin market will be a strong focus for new stores and conversions of existing pizza restaurants over to Unique Pizza and Subs. "Our plan is to continue opening as many locations as possible within the Wisconsin market. We have confidence in Unique's product to get us there," stated Budzinski.

"Unique Pizza and Subs' strategy is to grow rapidly through franchising, conversions and acquisitions. The Milwaukee market has the aptitude to be one of the UPZS' largest markets," stated Unique Pizza and Subs' Executive Vice President and General Manager, Bill Vowler. Mr. Vowler has spent many years living and working in Milwaukee during his career with Honeywell. In addition, many of the company's loyal investors live and work in the Milwaukee area.

About Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation, a Delaware Corporation

Since the beginning of its development stages back in 1991, Unique Pizza and Subs clearly has separated themselves from the other major pizza franchises. Two of the main reasons the major pizza franchises do not locate in smaller markets is because of the inferior quality of their product compared to the local independents and their corporate ownership is not usually welcomed. To succeed in a smaller market, a pizza shop needs to have these key elements: a high quality and consistently made product (all of their recipes were designed to have the quality of a "mom and pop" pizza shop with the consistency of a major franchise), good, professional and friendly customer service (UPZS is the only publicly traded pizza franchise that will have all of its location's orders routed to their professionally-staffed Customer Response Center), and an owner that lives, works and pays taxes in that small market (all of the conversions of independent pizza shops into Unique Pizza and Subs will retain the same local ownership).
