Northrop Grumman Highlights Broadband Wireless Capability At COVITS 2007


CHANTILLY, Va., Sept. 14, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will showcase its broadband wireless network for New York City next week at the Commonwealth of Virginia's Innovative Technology Symposium (COVITS) 2007 conference.

COVITS will be held Sept. 16-18 at the Westfields Marriott and Conference Center.

Northrop Grumman is building a citywide mobile wireless network for broadband public safety and public service applications throughout New York City's five boroughs. The company will demonstrate this solution, which is the most comprehensive network of its kind, offering advanced data and video applications for first responders.

This session will highlight the Virginia Information Technologies Agency/Northrop Grumman IT Infrastructure partnership services available to local and governmental entities to safeguard sensitive data.

At 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Northrop Grumman's Lori Horton, director of Strategic Initiatives for the Commercial, State and Local group, will also serve on the panel titled, "Homeland Security - Advancing the Interoperability Agenda." This session will highlight innovative models for information sharing as well as strategies to leverage federal investment to achieve local priorities.
