SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 1, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISSI), a leader in advanced memory solutions, today introduced the industry's first high speed/low power 512Kx32, 16Mb, asynchronous SRAM -- the IS61WV51232 with access times as fast as 8nS. This new device gives the designer a high speed device that utilizes low power technology to minimize power consumption and is available as both a 3.3V and 1.8V device.
The IS61WV51232 is the third in a broad range of 16Mb SRAMs that ISSI is developing, including a variety of organizations, voltage and temperature ranges. It is targeted for networking, telecom, industrial and automotive applications requiring a high density, high speed, zero latency, fully random access memory. ISSI previously introduced the 1MX16 and 2MX8 versions of this 16Mb SRAM. ISSI now offers a broad range of asynchronous SRAMs from 64Kb to 16Mb.
The IS61WV51232ALL operates from 1.65V to 2.2V and the IS61WV51232BLL operates from 2.4V to 3.6V. Both are available in lower power versions, the IS61WV51232ALS and IS61WV51232BLS respectively, with standby currents as low as 0.8mA.

For quantities of 10,000, the IS61WV51232A/B, in a 90 ball miniBGA package with a -40 to 85 degree C operating range, is priced at $9.95. Samples are available now with volume production shipments beginning in Q4, 2007. An automotive version of the IS61WV51232 will be available in Q1, 2008.
