Magnatag Hires Retired Army Major General Robert Mixon to Oversee Growth Strategy

Army Veteran of 33 Years to Become President of Magnatag Visible Systems, Oversaw Training of All National Guard and Army Reserve Soldiers West of Mississippi

MACEDON, N.Y., Oct. 2, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Magnatag(r) Visible Systems, a leading manufacturer and direct provider of industrial-quality magnetic printed whiteboards and related products, has named retired Army Maj. Gen. Robert Mixon as President to oversee day-to-day operations and help spearhead the company's overall growth strategy. Mixon will also serve as president of Magnatag's parent company, W.A. Krapf, Inc.

Magnatag has sold whiteboards and related organizational tools to 96 of the current Fortune 100 companies and was recently featured in the Wall Street Journal and on CNBC. The company has posted a profit in every month since its inception in January 1967 by Founder and CEO Wally A. Krapf. Krapf will retain his title but focus on research and development of new products.

"General Mixon is an expert at leading people and achieving great things for an organization, as his superlative military record shows," Krapf said. "He has the professional management experience and expertise to support Magnatag's growing operations and help lead the company into the future."

Mixon most recently served as the top general who oversaw the training of every National Guard and Army Reserve soldier west of the Mississippi River at Fort Carson, Colorado.

"As I entered a new phase of my life I sought the challenge of transferring my talents and skills learned over 33 years in the Army to a place I can both challenge and be challenged," said Mixon. "When my wife and I met Wally Krapf, the chemistry and respect between us was there instantly. I'm intrigued to help raise the profile of an industry-leading company. Together Wally and I will find new ways to create and market new Magnatag products and will be more aggressive in the branding efforts of the almost 3,000 products Wally and his team have devised."

Mixon retired from the Army on Sept. 14. At Fort Carson he also oversaw expansion plans and improvements at the base, increasing the number of soldiers housed there from 14,500 to 25,000 expected by the end of the decade.
