BOULDER, CO--(Marketwire - November 7, 2007) - Rogue Wave Software, Inc., the leader in
enterprise class C++ components and infrastructure, announced that Patrick
Leonard, Vice President, Engineering and Product Strategy, will be a panel
member at InfoWorld's ninth annual SOA Executive Forum on November 8th in
New York City. The Special Technical Session, titled "Service Component
Architecture," will examine the hot new standard in SOA and how to build a
repeatable model for building SOA-based applications.
"Dynamic enterprises are faced with issues such as how to achieve
price/performance improvements by taking advantage of multi-core hardware
and thus finding the right concurrency solution," said Leonard, one of the
leading creators of SCA products and an active member of the Organization
for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) (link to
http://www.oasis-open.org/home/index.php), the focal point for development
of the SCA specification. "Rewriting code for business applications can be
extremely costly, time consuming and risky. Finding a repeatable model is
fundamental to service enablement. But that's easier said than done, and
enterprises will need to address this challenging issue more and more in
the future."
Leonard will be presenting alongside other leaders in SCA including: David
Chappell, VP & Chief Technologist, SOA, Oracle and Michael Rowley, Director
of Technology, BEA Systems. Rogue Wave's HydraSCA is the first
commercially available run-time that supports the SCA specification,
enabling a repeatable model for service enablement in high-performance
application environments.
InfoWorld's ninth SOA Executive Forum provides fresh insight into best
practices to build Service Oriented Architectures that scale to meet the
needs of dynamic enterprises. Interactive sessions will illuminate key
planning and implementation issues, while real-world case studies reveal
proven solutions for technology and governance challenges. A new tutorial
track taught by leading practitioners will help attendees craft a
successful SOA strategy that fulfills the unique requirements of their
organizations now and in the future.
