Gulf Western Petroleum Announces First Test Results in Brushy Creek Project: Pope No. 1 Gas Unit Test At 254 MCFD


HOUSTON, Nov. 13, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Gulf Western Petroleum Corp. ("Gulf Western") (OTCBB:GWPC) (Frankfurt:GER) is pleased to announce that the Pope No. 1 four point flow test has been completed and the results are 254 Mcfd gas per day with a FTP of 1,190 psi on a 5/64" choke. The Pope No. 1 will initially be produced from a four-foot sand section from 3,315'-3,319'. The well is currently awaiting installation of production equipment and connection into the gathering system.

The Pope No. 1 Gas Unit is part of the Brushy Creek V Natural Gas Project in Lavaca County, Texas. The Brushy Creek V Project is a two well project generated by utilizing newly acquired 3D seismic data. Each of the two new wells will test amplitude anomalies with strong trough over peak 3D seismic expressions. The Goodrich-Delaplain No. 1 is the second well in this project and is currently undergoing completion and testing.
