PÖYRY AWARDED OWNER'S ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT FOR NEW CHP POWER PLANT PROJECT IN INDONESIA


Pöyry has received an assignment by PT Merak Energi Indonesia to provide owner's engineering services during the execution of a 2 x 60 MW coal-fired power plant project in Indonesia. Pöyry's assignment includes engineering design review, construction supervision and coordination of commissioning services. The value of the assignment is approximately EUR 1.3 million.
 
PT Merak Energi Indonesia will build the new power plant to provide power and process steam to PT Sulfindo Adiusaha, a leading chemicals producer in Indonesia located in Pula Ampel, Serang, Banten. The new power plant uses circulating fluidized bed combustion technology.
 
The project is well in line with Pöyry's growth strategy in Southeast Asia, where significant investments are expected in power projects.
