IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - February 12, 2008) - InteleNet Communications, Inc., a leader in
on-demand managed hosting services, announced today that it has
successfully concluded an audit in accordance with Statement on Accounting
Standards No. 70 (SAS 70). Independent auditor McGladrey & Pullen, a
leading national Certified Public Accounting firm, issued the SAS 70 (II)
report, marking InteleNet's third consecutive year satisfying the exacting
requirements of such an audit.
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Statement on
Auditing Standards 70 (SAS 70) defines professional standards used by an
auditor to assess the internal controls of a service provider such as
InteleNet. A Type II report is the most rigorous category of audits and
reports under this standard. During this process, McGladrey & Pullen
conducted a thorough audit of InteleNet's processes, procedures and
internal controls relating to its colocation services and managed services
provided to its customers. The SAS 70 audit results once again validated
the controls and procedures of InteleNet.
"Through the completion of this process, for the third year in a row, our
customers should now be more confident than ever that our colocation
services and managed services are dependable and secure," said Carlos
Oliveira, General Manager of InteleNet. "We are dedicated to meeting all of
the needs of our customers, and we believe that the SAS 70 certification is
a great advantage to our customers by saving them the cost and hassle of
conducting an internal review of InteleNet's processes."
Providing Assurance For InteleNet Customers
This audit demonstrates that InteleNet is a company that places great
importance on maintaining a strict control environment and a redundant and
secure infrastructure. With this audit, InteleNet provides its customers
with an independent third party verification regarding the exceptional
state of those key internal controls that are most important to its
customers. Finally, this audit is generally accepted by third parties such
as external auditors and can substitute for those parties performing their
own audit, thereby saving InteleNet's customers the cost of conducting
their own audit.
