Cooley Forms National Security Practice Group

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - February 14, 2008) - Cooley Godward Kronish LLP announced today the formation of a National Security Practice Group. The group's 25 attorneys represent clients in the defense, technology, life sciences and other industries on matters related to national security, and provide counsel on a wide range of sensitive issues including legal liability and compliance.

"National security is a broad area that has significant implications and opportunities for companies, particularly those in the technology and life science sectors," said Kevin Mullen, practice group head and partner in Cooley's Washington, DC office. "This practice focuses on supporting companies in a broad range of areas of increasing importance to them, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance, government contracts counseling and litigation, homeland security matters and cybersecurity regulation."
