IneoQuest Announces Popular Video Quality Solution in European QAM Standard

Revenue Assurance Leader Announces Product for Validating Video Quality in European QAM Networks

MANSFIELD, MA--(Marketwire - March 6, 2008) - IneoQuest Technologies, Inc., the leading global supplier of end-to-end quality, service and revenue assurance solutions for video providers of all types and sizes, today announced the availability of its Cricket video network probe with support for the European QAM standards. The QAM Cricket video network probe ensures that European providers of video services have a cost-effective solution that helps them deliver a high-quality subscriber viewing experience, while reducing operation expenses, ensuring customer revenue and speeding up the deployment of widespread IP Video rollouts.

Commonly used as a quality probe at the network edge, the QAM Cricket is also ideal for customer premise monitoring to capture and troubleshoot intermittent, reoccurring problems. Unlike traditional tools that are designed to troubleshoot active problems with a technician on-site, the IneoQuest QAM Cricket remotely monitors all of the services on a particular Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) signal simultaneously. Designed for multiple uses, including RF broadcast video deployments, advanced video service roll-outs and end-to-end network monitoring and troubleshooting post-deployments, the QAM Cricket is a powerful remote video quality and service assurance troubleshooting tool for Video service providers. The QAM Cricket empowers providers to analyze, debug and resolve video quality and MPEG issues in the QAM network.

When used in conjunction with IneoQuest's award-winning IP Video Management System (iVMS™), the QAM Cricket sends real-time fault alerts to the service provider at the network operating center. These alerts allow providers to be proactive in correcting the situation, potentially leading to reduced call center traffic volume. The QAM Cricket, working with iVMS as a single platform, enables management to review the health of the network and allows operators to instantly detect problems, giving engineers the tools they need to isolate and troubleshoot problems with unprecedented efficiency.

"IneoQuest is pleased to offer a solution that is purpose-built to meet the needs of the European video provider," said Stuart Newton, general manager of IneoQuest European Operations. "With the availability of the European standards QAM Cricket, IneoQuest demonstrates our commitment to creating solutions that address the unique challenges of being a video service provider in today's competitive marketplace."
