David A. Beronio Joins Heritage Bank of Commerce as Vice President of Business Development


SAN JOSE, Calif., March 7, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Heritage Bank of Commerce, the operating bank of Heritage Commerce Corp (Nasdaq:HTBK), today announced that David A. Beronio has joined the business development team as Vice President.

"David has a diversified corporate and small business background with deep roots in the Los Altos and the Peninsula markets," said Raymond Parker, EVP, Banking Division. "Having worked in various industries, he has a keen sensitivity to the needs of businesses regardless of their size, and brings more than 17 years of successful experience in marketing and sales."

Before joining Heritage Bank of Commerce, Beronio served in marketing, operations, sales, financial and production management positions for a variety of companies including Chrysler Corporation, Fiberboard, The Cornelius Company, National Can, Weibel Champagne Vineyards and BTI Corporation. In addition, he has owned and operated The Midge Fly Shop, Inc. which is the oldest fly fishing retail store in the Bay Area, this year celebrating its 25th year in Los Altos.

An avid sportsman, Beronio coached local baseball teams, as well as school soccer, basketball and softball teams. He has also served on The Daughter's of Charity Foundation Board, Backdrop Committee for the Tally Ho Horse Show and donated merchandise and fishing trips to many local charities.

Beronio holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Menlo College School of Business Administration and a Certificate in Wine Making from University of California at Davis. He is a third generation San Franciscan with roots in Los Altos going back to the early 1930's.
