ACH Foam Technologies Expands Garage Door Insulation Capabilities to Three Additional Plants

Products on Display at International Door Expo April 22 - 28

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - April 1, 2008) - ACH Foam Technologies announced today the addition of new garage door insulation manufacturing capabilities to its Waukegan, IL; Gainesville, GA; and new Third Street Plant in Kansas City, KS. With the added capabilities, ACH is better able to service national garage door manufacturers in these areas. ACH Foam Technologies supplies garage door insulation to premier garage door manufacturers in the US, such as Wayne-Dalton and Mid-America Door.

According to Frank Kiesecker, VP, sales and marketing, ACH's garage door insulation can be made with recycled material. "Scrap expanded polystyrene (EPS) generated during manufacturing is ground and can be incorporated into new EPS products. EPS is easily recyclable and can be turned into new EPS products or thermally processed into a resin to make other products such as garden furniture, coat hangers and disposable cameras," Kiesecker explains.

According to the US Green Building Council, buildings in the US account for 36% of energy use and 30% of greenhouse gas emissions. Using EPS to insulate garage doors makes garages and homes more energy efficient. A well insulated garage will help stabilize the temperature in the home, resulting in reduced energy bills and a more comfortable living environment. ACH's EPS is more environmentally friendly than urethane and polyisocyanurate because it is recyclable and contains no CFCs, HFCs, HCFCs or formaldehyde.

ACH manufactures garage door insulation with high R-values and prides itself on superior customer service. According to Ross Mesquita, materials manager for Mid-America Door, ACH worked closely with Mid-America to develop proprietary equipment to manufacture insulation for Mid-America's new design series. "We have partnered with ACH for years, because they have always gone above and beyond our expectations to develop customized design solutions. Now, with more plants manufacturing ACH's garage door insulation, we will enjoy shorter production time and shorter shipping distances -- both tangible benefits for Mid-American's bottom line."

ACH Foam Technologies will be exhibiting at the International Door Association Expo April 22-28 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas at Booth # 7020. For more information, visit www.achfoam.com.
