St. Croix Rolls Out U.S. Virgin Islands Grand Slam Welcome At Carambola Golf and Country Club for Radio Show Travel Expert Stephanie Abrams

BOSTON, April 23, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- After three weeks of live broadcasting of the nationally syndicated radio shows Travel WITH Stephanie Abrams and Traveling Feet from the U.S. Virgin Islands of St. Thomas and St. John in January, 2008, travel expert radio show host Stephanie Abrams returned yesterday to the USVI to complete her trilogy of visits with upcoming broadcasts from St. Croix. "It was disappointing not being able to schedule St. Croix into our January broadcast schedule," Abrams notes. "The time is NOW for USVI tourism to shine where the U.S. dollar has value and no passport is needed by U.S. citizens. I'm impressed by the diligence of travel industry suppliers in St. Croix, particularly the team at Carambola Golf & Country Club, who invested time and energy to create this opportunity for us to educate my audiences about the natural beauty, warm hospitality, history, culture, water sports, deep sea fishing, diving, golfing and Caribbean-chic relaxed elegance and seclusion available to visitors to St. Croix," Abrams notes. "They have a terrific story to tell and we're here to assist them in that goal."

Abrams describes her trip from Newark's Liberty Airport on American Airlines with a San Juan connection flight of under 40 minutes as "a hop and a jump!" With no immigrations and customs procedures to deal with, no landing cards nor additional lines to go through, those holding U.S. passports whiz through the airport on arrival in St. Croix. Abrams was met by a welcoming committee at the airport made up of executive team members of Carambola Golf & Country Club which was followed by a sunset reception at Carambola Beach Resort where leaders in local tourism attractions and commerce assembled to greet and toast the celebrity travel talk show host. Among those present at the event was Dick Capra, Chairman of Carambola Golf & Country Club's Board, who enthusiastically welcomed Abrams expressing his sincere gratitude for her interest in focusing positive attention on St. Croix.

Abrams will broadcast from Carambola Golf & Country Club with Dave Heiser and Cosmo Williams discussing that venue, Holland Redfield, former St. Croix Senator, Pat Henry from Divi Carina Bay Beach & Casino, executives from Mt. Victory Camp, Big Beard's Adventures Tours, Cane Bay Dive Shop, Safari Tours, Blue Diving Adventures, Tan Tan Tours, Fishing with Carl, Jacques Baheux, GM, Carambola Resort and Carambola Villas' Chris Hanley.

Carambola's Club House Manager, Wendy Keeler, has planned an intensive experiential itinerary for Abrams' visit. Photos and information tracking the visit will be posted at www.sabrams.com. "I'm confident my audiences will be inspired to follow in my footsteps! I've caught the St. Croix spirit of the people who live here. This place rocks!" Abrams concludes.
