New E-Series From Network Box Lets Enterprises Consolidate Network Defenses and Reduce CPU Strain
| Source: Network Box USA
HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - June 2, 2008) - Network Box USA, Inc. (www.networkboxusa.com),
the American arm of managed security company Network Box Corp., today
announced the new E-Series, a product line that enables companies of all
sizes to consolidate their network security through one solution and
greatly reduce the strain on operating resources. The E-Series product
range includes solutions for medium-sized enterprises (model E1000) to
large ones (E2000 and E4000), allowing the Network Box service to grow with
their customers.
"Because of the evolving nature of online threats -- and their rapidly
growing numbers -- companies have had to increase their computing power in
order to defend against them," said Pierluigi Stella, CTO of Network Box
USA. "That's why consolidating different security elements makes so much
sense. The potent new E-Series protects organizations against all online
threats in a single device, which minimizes the power and infrastructure
required for comprehensive network security."
Stella added that the pressure today on security technologies is
unrelenting and that ever more powerful processors are needed to analyze
and quickly protect against sophisticated online threats. Over the last
five years, Network Box has witnessed an increase in anti-virus signatures
from 30,000 to 900,000, while anti-spam signatures have grown from 10,000
to two million. Using separate solutions strong enough to combat these
dangers is an administrative challenge and a significant drain on operating
resources.
In addition to thwarting emerging threats, the powerful memory of the
Network Box E-Series means that it can easily maintain a library of old
threats that sporadically reappear -- unlike many security devices that
purge databases because of limited memory, leaving companies open to
attack.
"IT managers face a daunting number of attack vectors, so they'll buy
several different technologies to counter these threats," said Stella.
"This can be a real logistical nightmare, creating unnecessary, complicated
layers of infrastructure and draining an organization's computing power.
The E-Series uses the minimum amount of processing power required to
provide effective security, so it never reduces the network's performance."

The new E-Series is available now through Network Box USA's reseller
