Mason Media Networks Partners with WTOP on Digital Signage Content

WASHINGTON, June 9, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Mason Media Networks, a Washington-based, out-of-home advertising and marketing agency, announced today a strategic partnership with WTOP Radio 103.5 FM to provide news, sports and weather on its digital signage networks.

Mason Media Networks (MMN) develops, builds, manages and sells the advertising for digital signage networks that can be used for advertising, corporate communications, promotion and entertainment.

The company recently entered into an agreement to manage the content and advertising sales, and produce the content for the internal and external signage networks located at Gallery Place in downtown D.C. In an effort to enrich the content being provided to the 100,000 people who pass the displays each day, MMN forged this partnership with WTOP enabling the radio station to provide daily updates of news, sports and weather which will be displayed graphically and audibly across the signage networks.

"This is an outstanding opportunity for two local organizations to partner and provide valuable information to the community," said Brendan Kownacki, Director of Strategy and Development for Mason Media Networks. "We're very pleased to have a partner as well-known and respected as WTOP."

"We are really excited about this venture," says WTOP Vice President of Programming Jim Farley. "This is an opportunity for us to extend our brand and marketing presence in a big way, and as Washington's only 24/7 news, traffic and weather station it makes perfect sense for us to be a content provider for MMN."

The Gallery Place digital signage network is located in the heart of Washington, D.C. at the corner of 7th and H streets.
