WSFS Bank Opens New Banking Office in Selbyville and Announces New Advisory Board Member

WILMINGTON, Del., July 15, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- WSFS Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:WSFS), the parent company of WSFS Bank, today announced the opening of a new banking office located at 38394 DuPont Boulevard in the Strawberry Center shopping plaza in Selbyville, Delaware.

To celebrate the opening, the Bank held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 14. "WSFS believes you should have a choice when it comes to your banking needs. Our long-standing commitment to service and expansion in Sussex County is precisely why we chose to open a banking office in the town of Selbyville," said Richard M. Wright, Executive Vice President of Retail Banking for WSFS Bank. "Opening this office is particularly exciting for WSFS as it marks the opening of our 31st retail banking office."

The Selbyville banking office joins Long Neck, Lewes and Rehoboth Beach as the fourth WSFS banking office serving Sussex County. Additionally, there are more than 75 WSFS ATMs throughout Sussex County.

Howard Bunting, Retail Office Manager, will manage the Selbyville banking office. Mr. Bunting brings 15 years of banking experience to his new role at WSFS. "As a long-time resident of Selbyville, I am thrilled to join the WSFS organization and manage this banking office," said Mr. Bunting. "This full-service banking office will give the residents of Selbyville a choice of great banking products and Stellar Service at a convenient location."

Helping WSFS further integrate in the Selbyville and Sussex communities is Robert Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson is the newest member of the WSFS Sussex County Advisory Board, which was organized in 2006 and consists of influential members of Sussex County with close ties to the local community. With the Board meeting on a regular basis, WSFS gains helpful insight, stays close to the communities in Sussex and better understands and responds to the needs of our customers in this region. WSFS also has a similar board serving Kent County.

Mr. Dickerson is the retired President of Baltimore Trust Co. and Executive Vice President of Mercantile Peninsula Bank, located in Selbyville, DE, where he worked for 35 years. Currently, he is serving as Town Administrator of Selbyville, DE, a position he assumed in March 2008.

"We are extremely fortunate to have Bob join the WSFS organization by serving on the Sussex County Advisory Board," said Mark A. Turner, President and CEO of WSFS Bank. "He is not only a long-time community banker, but also very well-known with the businesses and people of Selbyville and the surrounding area. He will bring tremendous value as WSFS continues to grow and expand our presence in Sussex County."

The WSFS Selbyville banking office is open Monday-Thursday 9 A.M.-5 P.M., Friday 9 A.M.-6 P.M. and Saturday 9 A.M.-1 P.M.
