New Web Site Launched to Promote Businesses in Downtown West Dearborn

DearbornWestOnline.com to Feature Business Specials and Upcoming Events

DEARBORN, MI--(Marketwire - July 16, 2008) - Businesses in downtown West Dearborn are coming together through a new web site, www.DearbornWestOnline.com, to promote their wide variety of products, services and entertainment venues.

The web site, developed by the West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority (WDDDA), is designed to showcase this vibrant business district which has undergone dramatic growth during the past five years with new construction and renovations.

"We've already started building a reputation for trendy nightspots, and it's important we showcase all the reasons downtown West Dearborn is fast becoming an energetic, urban center," said Bill White, chairman and president of Dearborn Federal Savings Bank and WDDDA chairman. "These include shopping, dining and entertainment, nearby parks and bike paths along with affordable living spaces for all ages."

The new web site features a business directory, maps and parking, a calendar of events and business specials along with the opportunity for visitors to sign up for an e-newsletter.

The web site's home page also features a special section called "Thursdays -- Play in Dearborn!" Online visitors can access information about local restaurants, bars and shops that will be hosting a variety of specials on Thursdays to help draw regulars and newcomers to the district.

"DearbornWestOnline.com provides a valuable and easy to use resource for our businesses and customers," added White.
