User Conference Features New Customer Awards Program, in Addition to Educational Sessions, Expanded 'Hands On' Lab Sessions, an On-Site Support Center, Prominent Guest Speakers, and More

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - July 24, 2008) - Sage Software announced today that registration is now open for its fourth annual user conference, Sage Summit, set for November 17-20 in the 'mile-high' city of Denver, Colorado. This 4-day event will again present opportunities for attendees to network, share best practices in business management, learn how to better utilize their Sage Software solutions, and hear about industry and business trends affecting them and their organizations.

Open to the more than 2.9 million small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the U.S. and Canada who use Sage Software products and services, Sage Summit offers sessions covering the broad family of Sage Software products and services, developed for the range of businesses who use them: from accounting to HR, ERP (enterprise resource planning) and CRM (customer relationship management), as well as industry-focused products such as Sage Timberline Office and Sage MIP Fund Accounting.

Sage Summit is where Sage Software customers connect, offering a peer-to-peer experience where they can discover new ideas, concepts, skills, strategies, and the latest solutions to help their business from Sage Software. This year's conference offers expanded session content and more ways than ever for customers to network with peers and product insiders.

"Sage Summit was more than I hoped for," said Mary Phillips of Concurrent Computer Systems, a Sage Software customer and attendee of last year's conference. "I gained product knowledge, practical customer experience, and insider perspective on Sage's product vision to help with planning. Great job Sage -- Summit is really a first-rate customer conference!"

Jane Bunn of Messer Commercial Builders, LLC, another Sage Software customer and 2007 attendee adds, "The educational benefit of attending Sage Summit is immeasurable and worth well more than the dollars I spent."

New for 2008 is the Sage Customer Awards Program, which began accepting nominations July 1st, continuing through August 29th. Sage Software Business Partners, Certified Consultants, Sage Software Accountants Network members, and Sage Software customers themselves are eligible to submit their nominations for the following seven awards: Innovation Award, Rookie of the Year, Best End-to-End Deployment, Best Use of Customization, Community Stewardship, Best Use of Multiple Sage Software Products/Services, and a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Winners will be announced at Summit during the executive keynote on Tuesday, November 18th. Complete eligibility requirements and further details on the new Sage Customer Awards Program are available at http://www.sagesoftware.com/support/awards.

Sage Summit 2008 also will offer even more 'hands-on' sessions than ever. These popular, highly interactive educational sessions give attendees the ability to speak directly with product experts while getting real-world experience by learning about and working with practically every Sage Software solution available.

This year's conference will also continue to feature many other perennially popular attractions, including: breakout sessions that offer 'deep dives' into industry- and product-focused topics; various user community and networking events; interesting and informative guest speakers, roundtable discussions with peers to discuss common issues and exchange ideas; an on-site Support Center offering personalized, one-on-one engagement with Sage Software product experts to discuss and resolve issues, and; the popular Trade Show exhibition, again featuring hundreds of experts, solution developers, and service providers, with the ability for attendees to explore an array of technologies and solutions to help improve their productivity and overall business management processes.

Sage Summit 2008 kicks off on Monday, November 17th with a Fun Run/Walk at 8:00 a.m. (MST), led by 1976 Olympic decathlon gold medal winner Bruce Jenner.
