Cardio Infrared Technologies Announces Kansas Ground Breaking for 'The Healing Spa at Tierra Verde'

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 12, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Cardio Infrared Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CIRT), a leading emergent Health and Wellness technology and marketing company, announced today that Tierra Verde Development Company, LLC is breaking ground on The Healing Spa at Tierra Verde, Phase I of a "green" development at 47th & Webb Road, Wichita, Kansas, and will be installing a Cardio-Cor Exerbike.

Wayne Bailey, President and CEO of Cardio Infrared Technologies, Inc., stated, "Tierra Verde Development Company, LLC will break ground on The Healing Spa at Tierra Verde located at 47th & Webb Road, Wichita, Kansas. This area is referred to as the 'Medical Mile' and is located on 157 acres with many small lakes which include a heart hospital, a spine hospital and within 1 mile are 2 huge medical facilities. CNN/Money Magazine ranked Wichita as 9th on its list of the 10 Best Cities to live in the U.S. Also, it is the largest manufacturer of aircraft in the World! There are 6 major aircraft manufacturing companies in and around Wichita, Kansas. Terri Grillot contacted Cardio Infrared Technologies, Inc. at the Spa show back in March 2006 in Las Vegas. Terri stated then that she would include the Cardio-Cor in the new facility, which will be built in 2008, and she is fulfilling that commitment."

Stimulated by the growing interest in health and wellness, a day (or a stay) at a spa has become a popular way to escape from the stress of everyday life. In addition to being a destination spa offering a full range of spa services and amenities, The Healing Spa at Tierra Verde, being built at 47th & Webb Road, Wichita, Kansas, will also offer a healing environment in which to recover from surgical procedures and medical treatments.

Changes in the medical industry have reduced in-patient recuperative periods following minor surgical and reconstructive procedures, and elective plastic and aesthetic surgeries not covered by insurance are on the rise. In both situations, patients are sent home very soon after medical procedures. The Healing Spa at Tierra Verde will offer an intermediate option, where patients can receive skilled medical concierge services provided by a fully certified nursing staff, an on-call physician, and certified aesthetician and massage therapists.

Also included within the facility will be The Wellness Center at Tierra Verde, offering fitness, dance and strength training programs, holistic and medical treatment procedures, educational programs and outdoor amenities. The Wellness Center will set up pre-programs for individuals who are considering elective and non-elective surgery, educating them on the procedures, and preparing them physically and mentally for surgery. A state-of-the-art Concierge Care Program and "Physical Spring Cleaning" stress & weight management program will be among the services offered.

Rounding out The Healing Spa will be a venue for business retreats and special events, including indoor and outdoor weddings. Being developed by Terrie Grillot, Paul Cavanaugh "Places Architect," and Dr. Stephen Grillot, The Healing Spa at Tierra Verde will be a consortium of specialists experienced in fitness, personal care, education, and medical care and business operation. The Healing Spa at Tierra Verde is the initial facility in Phase-1 of Tierra Verde Development, an earth-friendly, sustainable development utilizing Green Technology in both construction and operation.

Wayne Bailey, CEO and President of Cardio-Cor, commented, "Cardio-Cor is pleased to be a part of this exciting development. I am expecting great results from this unique setting with significant Cardio-Cor referrals from all across the region."
