HROA Announces Details of Second Annual RPO Summit

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - September 22, 2008) - The HROA, in conjunction with the RPO Alliance Buyers' Group, have helped organize and plan the second annual RPO Summit. The event will be held at the Gaylord National Hotel in Washington, D.C. from December 10 - 11, 2008.

The world's only conference focused exclusively on the Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) sector will feature exclusive buyers-only discussions where recruiting executives can engage in closed-door discussions about the issues faced by their organizations. In addition, hands-on case studies illustrating the risks and rewards of large scale recruitment process outsourcing will be presented by some of the world's leading companies.

The RPO Summit will include in-depth discussions on globalization and the results of the impending U.S. presidential elections and how they will impact multinational companies and global recruiting practices. Dan Griswold, Director, Center for Trade Policy Studies at the Cato Institute, will analyze the platforms of the candidates, their positions on free trade, and the corresponding potential impacts on the outsourcing industry in a spirited session held on day two of the event. Day two of the Summit also features a panel moderated by Andrew Watt, COO of FutureStep, a Korn/Ferry Company, entitled "RPO Five Years Later: What Have We Learned; Where Are We Going?" During this panel, research results from a 2008 study on RPO, produced in cooperation with the Human Capital Institute, will be explored and shared with attendees.

"The RPO Summit is on-pulse with the most current trends and issues that directly affect buyers in the marketplace," said Rebecca Callahan, senior vice president, Spherion RPO. "HR professionals are facing a variety of new challenges that will add another dimension of complexity to the hiring landscape over the next few years. Attendees at this conference will hear first-hand from industry experts about how RPO can help drive the talent acquisition process during this challenging time."

Conference attendance is $395 for buyers and $495 for provider attendees. By joining the RPO Alliance Buyers Group for $350, HR or staffing executives will have their conference fee waived.
